With the aim to inspire change in politicians and the public alike, Inspire New Zealand needed a brand identity that appealed to both sides.

Project: Inspire New Zealand Branding & Website

Disciplines: Graphic Design/ UI - UX Design & CMS

Year: 2018

Client: Inspire New Zealand

The visual language of the repeating triangle is a prominent symbol from Maori craft culture. It can also be seen in the union jack of New Zealand’s colonizing nation Great Britain. When these shapes are orientated into the form of a forward facing arrow, a powerful image is created,  recognising the past and embracing the future.

Due to the balance that is required when an institution is corporate facing and at the same time commands a strong public presence, layout and imagery play a vital role in the success of the websites user experience. The information aimed at primarily politicians is displayed in a way that a novice of the theories can also understand. The CMS of the website was a driving deliverable, ensuring that the Inspire New Zealand team could update their website the moment new information comes to hand, promoting public interaction and being a reliable, up to date source for politicians.
